Barn Dance, Ceilidh (kaylee) or Hoe Down - we are the band to give you great entertainment!
Malarkey Ceilidh Band is a very lively band playing predominantly Irish and Scottish tunes together with some songs, but has the flexibility to play almost all types of music.
Malarkey Ceilidh Band consist of:-
Nikki Anderson - Fiddle, bodhran, spoon, percussion and vocals
Steve Cartwright - Guitar, mandola and vocals
Isobel McDonald - Bodhran, guitar
We can add other experienced musicians, as required to make a larger band for bigger events, such as eg. bass guitar, flute/whistles etc
Our usual Caller is John McDonald - known as Maca the Caller, but we do have a pool of others to call on if needed, as he is freelance and works with several first class bands.
We are based in Leicestershire and cover the Midlands area.
